Grab launches GrabCar in CDO

Grab Philippines has launched GrabCar in Cagayan De Oro (CDO), contributing to economic empowerment and offering a reliable transportation option for residents.

The expansion to CDO, the second city in Mindanao to welcome GrabCar, aligns with the superapp's mission to create sustainable opportunities and foster economic growth in the region.

EJ Dela Vega, Grab Philippines Head of Mobility Marketplace, emphasizes the brand's commitment to understanding the needs of Kagay-anons and providing solutions for the long-term success of CDO.

Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy highlights the strong partnership with Grab, anticipating positive developments for local entrepreneurs, drivers, and riders.

The journey began in 2015 with GrabTaxi, digitalizing the local taxi ecosystem and benefiting driver-partners. Grab expanded its presence in CDO with GrabFood in May 2020, supporting local ventures and empowering MSMEs with growth tools and technology. A success story includes Frkn Burger, a CDO merchant-partner experiencing significant growth on Grab.

Grab Philippines remains dedicated to collaborating with the Cagayan De Oro local government, leveraging technology and a community-focused approach to unlock new growth possibilities.
