Retail Associates kicks off Future-Proof Tech Summit 2024

Retail Associates has just kicked off this year's Future-Proof Tech Summit. Held last March 12, 2024 at the Makati Diamond Residences in Makati City, the event brought together industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries, all passionate about the transformative potential of technology.

The summit featured prominent industry giants, including Microsoft, Azure, Crayon, LS Retail, Shopify, DotDigital, and Sprout. Participants from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) also joined, creating a dynamic platform for discussing the latest developments and trends shaping the industry.

Key topics at the summit revolved around the theme of Software as a Service (SaaS), with notable keynote speeches from experts in the field:

Gabriel Eric Villanueva, a Solutions Specialist from Crayon, delved into the power of harnessing cloud infrastructure. He emphasized how the cloud enables organizations to unlock unprecedented potential.

Arnold Chua, another Crayon representative, shared valuable insights on maximizing AI assistants like Microsoft CoPilot for businesses. His talk explored how AI can impact our daily lives and enhance productivity. He also shared significant advantages of Microsoft 365 CoPilot over opensource alternatives like ChatGPT and how CoPilot is integrated throughout other Microsoft tools such as OneDrive, Teams, Excel, Outlook among others.

Patrick Gentry, Co-founder and President of Sprout Solutions, also took the stage, offering unique perspectives on business transformation using HR solution services such as Sprout. He expounded that through the use of automation and AI, the work force are rid of tedious HR processes such as payroll and processing government requirements. This in turn will allow efforts to be maximized elsewhere.

Before the summit concluded the event advanced with a panel discussion from the speakers and opened into a night of cocktails and networking opportunities.
