Nothing has unveiled the results of The Community Edition Project, a collaboration with its community to create the Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition. This marks Nothing's first co-created product, developed with input from dedicated followers who worked directly with the team across design, hardware, software, and marketing.
The project generated great excitement, with over 900
submissions from 47 countries. It represents Nothing's first major step toward
co-creating both hardware and content with its community, blending their ideas
with the brand's vision for the future.
The Collaboration Process:
Packaging Design: Ian Henry Simmonds reimagined the packaging with a bold yet minimalist approach, incorporating reflective elements that glow in the dark, complementing the phone’s design.
Rooted in Community
Co-creation is at the heart of Nothing’s mission. The Phone (2a) Plus Community
Edition is just the latest example of how the company works closely with its
community. In 2022, Nothing also introduced the role of a Community Board
Observer, who represents the community at Board meetings.
Price and availability
The Nothing Phone (2a) Community Edition will be available globally, with a limited run of
only 1,000 units.
In the Philippines, 25 units will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from 16 November at Nothing’s Official Store on Shopee, priced at PhP 24,990.
