realme revealed its exciting new realme Interchangeable lens concept at MWC 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. Along with this, they also announced the global release of the realme 14 Pro Series and shared their three-year strategic plan to grow their global user base and strengthen their position in the mid-to-high-end market.
realme Interchangeable lens Concept
realme has unveiled a groundbreaking prototype of its Interchangeable lens Concept smartphone. The device comes with a 1-inch custom Sony sensor and a unique lens mount system, enabling users to attach DSLR lenses directly to the phone.
With two professional-grade lenses—a 73mm portrait lens and a 234mm telephoto lens—it delivers leveled up optical clarity, offering everything from beautiful bokeh and lossless 10x zoom.
Still in the prototype stage and not yet ready for mass production, realme is committed to overcoming industry challenges like sensor size limitations and the issues with digital zoom by combining modular optics with mobile technology.
In addition to the concept, realme also introduced two AI-powered tools to simplify photo and video editing: the AI Voice-based Retoucher, which lets users edit photos using voice commands, and the AI Video Eraser, which allows users to remove unwanted people or objects from their videos with a single tap.

Doubling the Global User Base in Three Years
realme plans to boost its market growth starting in 2025, building on its success in 2024, where it became one of the fastest-growing smartphone brands in places like Spain, Italy, and Mexico.
The goal is to double its global user base in the next three years and strengthen its position in the mid-to-high-end market.
To achieve this, realme has laid out a plan focusing on product development, brand growth, and innovation.
The company highlighted its three main product lines:
- GT Series: “Next-Level Performance Flagship” with top performance, AI, and clear imaging.
- Number Series: “Next-gen Performance & Camera” with great performance, excellent imaging, and sleek design.
- C Series: “Better Tech for Youth” with features tailored to younger users.
realme will continue to lead in smartphone AI, focusing on AI imaging, efficiency, and gaming. Through its NEXT AI initiative, realme aims to ship 100 million AI-powered smartphones in the next three years. The company also plans to offer premium chipsets and large batteries across all product lines.
Gaming Partnerships and Collaborations
Working to shape the future of gaming, realme sets partnerships with top gaming companies like Mobile Legends, Free Fire, Honor of Kings, and BGMI.
The brand focuses on delivering stunning visuals, smooth connectivity, and immersive gaming experiences.
Additionally, realme is set to announce two exciting collaborations with top entertainment and luxury brands for exclusive limited-edition products.
Following the announcements in MWC, realme has also announced the new realme 14 Pro Series which is set to debut in the Philippines on March 20, 2025.
