Whole-vehicle manufacturing for phones? Infinix reinvents the game with upcoming NOTE 50 Series

Infinix is gearing up to launch a brand-new smartphone from its NOTE Series on March 20, featuring the innovative One-Tap Infinix AI∞.

While details are still limited, rumors suggest this could be the first smartphone under $500 USD (PhP 28,645) to feature a full-metal unibody design—offering a lightweight yet highly durable build.

Car Manufacturing Meets Smartphones

The new NOTE Series device is said to adopt integrated steel-aluminum casting technology, a technique used by EV giant Tesla. This approach, commonly seen in automotive manufacturing, enhances durability and efficiency by reducing the number of assembled parts.

Codenamed HyperCasting, Infinix's new process melts aluminum alloy at 700°C, injecting it into a mold to create multiple phone components in a single shot. This eliminates up to 22 welding points, making the structure 3g lighter while boosting overall durability.

With this stronger, full-metal construction, weak points caused by assembled parts are eliminated, making the phone more resistant to drops.

Additionally, this technique is said to improve heat dissipation, ensuring better cooling performance during extended use.

ArmorAlloy™ – Real Metal, Reinvented

Infinix is reportedly using ArmorAlloy™, a hot-rolled fusion of Damascus steel and aluminum alloy, making the phone tough yet lightweight, corrosion and scratch-resistant, deformation-proof, and it's also made with eco-friendly recyclable metal.

As per its design, the Infinix NOTE 50 Series is also expected to sport an octagonal camera module, adding to its premium aesthetic.

More details are expected to surface soon, and so far, this next-gen NOTE Series is shaping up to be one of Infinix’s most exciting releases yet.
